JOSEAN RIVERA VAQUER: Copywriter • Associate Producer
Josean Rivera Vaquer was born in San Juan, PR. He attended Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, where he was mentored by thespian, Father Francis Golden. Rivera was awarded a full scholarship to attend the summer intensive Theatreworks program at the University of Iowa. Upon high school graduation, Josean studied Theatre and Journalism at Indiana University. Rivera continued his college studies in Puerto Rico at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, where he studied Communications with a concentration in Film and T.V. Production. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. Josean continued his acting studies in NYC studying the Meisner Technique under James Price (Mr. Meisner’s protegé) as well as Acting Technique and Scene Study under Zenon Kruszelnicki (One of Poland’s finest acting teacher’s). During his time in New York, Rivera worked as a comedy writer for Cory Kahaney (Last Comic Standing 1st runner up). Josean executive produced, co-wrote and acted in the feature film “Elite”. Rivera has also acted in other films like “Demented”, where he worked opposite Richard Tyson. He has also worked as an executive producer and associate producer in various other films where he has been influential in finding and securing private investment. Josean has also worked for National Geographic as a producer for a documentary about billfish and the conservation efforts for this species. Rivera also worked as a producer for National Geographic’s reality show “Kingfishers”. Josean has just finished creating “Manejando A Tommy”, a new web series for Bumbia (Puerto Rico based video channel engine) At the moment he is a creative asset for Sentido Común, where he works as a producer and writes copy as well as original content.
